Whoa

Wow, you can tell I went back to work and work is crazy busy! Sorry for the lapse in blogging. Work is starting to get back to normal, but has been INSANE so far this year. Let's hope that translates into my clients spending lots of $$! The biggest thing to hit the O'Connell house lately is the stomach flu. It hit with a vengeance. Ryan went down on Saturday, the 9th, followed by Nick on Monday and me on Tuesday. Nick and I have NEVER been home sick for as long as we were home with this bug. We're finally starting to feel healthy again. Nothing like starting your New Year's resolution to drop some lbs with some help from the flu.

Maybe it's just me, but Ryan is getting more fun by the second. Here's a quick update of his words: Santa (though for obvious reasons, that's used less and less), hat (he gets super excited when he finds a hat and then puts it on his head and walks around proud as a peacock repeating "hat" over and over again), ball (though it sounds like "Bah"), Mama, Dada, Dixie (still his absolute favorite word), sock, Sippy (though it sounds more like "Boo-Pah"), and his latest is Good Night ("Nuh-Ny".) He's still a pretty good eater (last night was ridiculous-he at a big chunk of manicotti, a whole banana muffin, and a slice of cheese), although he'll get randomly picky at times. He's been napping pretty well at home, but still doesn't sleep well at daycare. He's getting up a couple of times a night and we're pretty sure it's because his room is always at least ten degrees colder than the rest of the house for some odd reason. We need to put a stop to that, ASAP. We're working on kicking the bottle habit, but he's still using them at least once a day. He's eager to use regular cups, but he makes such a mess with them that it's just easier to give him a sippy. It looks like he's working on some more teeth too, the poor guy! So, that's all for now.
