Reflections on Christmas 2009

All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas. Last year was kind of a blur with a 3 week old, so this year I felt like we actually got to enjoy the holiday.

Ryan is rocking his Santa hat in his PJs.

Walking around the house in a hat with bells...life is pretty good.

Santa and all our family were so generous this year to Ryan and we are so thankful for all the toys and especially the clothes! Ryan's favorite toy this season might just be the cardboard center of a roll of wrapping paper though. Typical!

Our favorite gift this year: a baby in a box!

Christmas night, Dixie brought her new ball from Grandma to bed with her and snuggled it in close (it's right under her arm.) So cute! In all honesty, she was probably afraid Ryan would steal it from her!!

We had such a great holiday and planned everything just perfectly so there were no naps or mealtimes missed and we had a happy little boy for the whole weekend (the day after Christmas he took an almost 3-hour-nap in the morning and a 2-hour-nap in the afternoon, which is unheard of!) We are so thankful to everyone for helping make this such a great Christmas. We especially want to thank everyone for all their support over the last year. Becoming new parents and starting a family has been no easy feat, but the love and help of our family and friends has been so special to us. We are so lucky to have you in our lives!

We love you all and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very healthy, happy 2010!
