Holiday Baking

One of my very favorite holiday traditions is baking Christmas cookies with my mom. Nick had a big day at the office, so Ryan, Dixie, and I packed up and headed out to my mom and dad's house (special thanks to Papa for helping corral Ryan while we baked.) We rocked out to Christmas tunes on the drive out, arrived to egg nog coffee (sounds nasty, but it's actually quite tasty), Frosty was on TV, and baking began. We finally wrapped up around dinner time. The kitchen was a disaster, but we were surrounded by peanut butter blossoms, Russian tea cakes, chocolate-coconut balls, frosted sugar cookies, and gingerbread people. The fruits of our labor:
