Christmas #1

Christmas #1: Christmas Eve with my parents. Sadly, one of my brothers wasn't able to make it this year, but thankfully Uncle Shawn made it at the last second. Nonetheless, we had a great afternoon with my parents. Lots of snacks and treats. Ryan was a fan of the Christmas cookies (his first taste of a cookie). I know it's strange, but it's a tradition in my family to eat Leanne Chinn's on Christmas, so Ryan had his first taste of egg roll and chicken wings. Lots of special snacks that he isn't really allowed to eat any other time of year!

Here he's opening up his first gift of the holidays with Nana.


Here's something he will never see Daddy doing: reading the instructions. Ha! I'm so proud of my little boy reading the instructions before playing with his new toy!

Geez, we can't take Dixie anywhere. By the end of the night, she was surrounded by bottles of wine and snuggling Santa. It's really embarrassing. She's always parties too hard and makes a fool of herself.

All in all, it was a wonderful day and we managed to make it home just in time for bath and bedtime, which gave mom and dad time to have our own little holiday and get ready for the marathon day that awaited us in the morning.
