Christmas #2

Christmas #2: Christmas morning with Nick's mom & family. Christmas morning was a blur of racing to get everyone ready, packing the car, and oh yeah, Nick spent about an hour snowplowing the driveway just so we could get out! The weather was hovering around freezing, so it was a mess of snow, slush, rain, and lots of ice. We finally made it on the road about an hour behind schedule and took things very slowly on our drive out to the western 'burbs. We saw lots of accidents and cars in the ditch. Had it not been Christmas, there is no way we would have been on the roads. Luckily we made it to Nick's mom's house in one piece and Christmas #2 commenced.

One of the highlights of Christmas morning: watching Nick shake it and talk smack to everyone else while playing...Wii hula hoops. Seriously. I didn't think you could trash talk while pretend hula-hooping, but my hubby pulled it off. Wish I had this on video.

Ryan opening up his super cool dump truck with Grandma. Thanks again, girls!

Ryan hanging out with Auntie Mary, who made us all jealous with her California tan. We have to make a trip out there sometime soon!

Grandma gave us this adorable Santa hat, which Ryan took a liking to (as you'll see in a later post.) He's gotten really good at saying "Santa." I don't know what he's going to do now that there aren't Santas everywhere. He'll be so confused!

Taking a quick break from playing to snuggle with Uncle Sean.
