The Easter festivities began with coloring eggs. Ryan was extra lucky and got to dye eggs with both Grandma and Nana and Papa! Unfortunatley we forgot our camera when we went to Grandma's so we'll have to get some pictures off of her camera later. We've been enjoying lots of egg salad and deviled eggs (which Ryan refers to as dare devil eggs.)
Thankfully the Easter Bunny visited our house really early on Easter morning because Ryan got up to find his basket really early. That being said, I don't have any pictures of the basket-finding adventure at our house. Honestly, no one wants to see pictures of Nick and me that early in the morning anyways. I'm not even sure I had both eyes open when he found his basket! That sneaky bunny hid it right behind Madeline's swing. He couldn't outsmart Ryan, though!
A few hours later the egg hunt at Nana and Papa's house began. As we pulled up the driveway, we saw the Easter Bunny's foot prints!! Excitement was building as we got in the house...the search was on!
Ryan showed off some of the goodies.
WOW, look at the loot!
Madeline didn't even make it out of her car seat before Ryan was off on the hunt of his life. It didn't really matter though, she was happy to stay bundled in since it wasn't exactly warm weather and she was pretty comfortable.
All in all, I'd say it was another successful holiday. Ryan and Madeline got lots of goodies from the Easter Bunny and it was great getting to spend some time with our families.
