Nick's favorite phrase lately has been "no bueno" and that's an apt assessment of the last week at our house. Ryan has had severe behind troubles which had led him to be "grounded" from daycare for almost the entire week. I stayed home part of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Nick and Grandma Margi took Wednesday (thanks again, Grandma!) and finally we convinced daycare to take him on Friday. He's been to two different doctors this week and they think he has a virus that has led to extreme behind issues, including the worst case of diaper rash known to man (seriously--take our word on this.) He just has to get over this on his own and the doctor said that can take two weeks. As of Friday, he's mildly dehydrated so he's getting Pedialyte, a special formula, and five different diaper creams we have to rotate. As of this morning, he's cut a third tooth (top front right) and is close to cutting another (top front left.) The poor thing is an absolute mess. I'm praying that the fact that he's not contagious will keep him at daycare this week, even though he's definitely more high maintenance than usual. We've finally had to resort to letting the little tyke play (outside only!) sans bottoms (hence the picture above...I can only imagine what our neighbors must think.) Desperate times call for desperate measures!
